Kettering Police offers many community-based programs, such as:
- Crime prevention surveys of buildings and facilities upon request
- Citizen’s Police Academy
- Talks on a variety of crime prevention topics
- Computer safety
- RAD--Rape Aggression Defense for women and children
- Safety Village for Kids--offered by the City’s Safety Section involving KPD and KFD with the purpose of teaching safety lessons to young children
- Stranger safety presentations to school children
- Cops and Kids camp held annually each summer
