Membership |
There are three types of memberships:
General – sworn law-enforcement personnel who have an active interest in community policing and crime prevention in the Greater Miami Valley. General members have voting rights and are eligible to hold office on the Executive Board of the Association.
Associate – individuals working in a non-profit agency, organization, governmental body, or commercial enterprise who have an active interest in the promotion and advancement of community policing and crime prevention in the Greater Miami Valley. Associate memberships are available to non law-enforcement personnel. Associate members have voting rights and are eligible to hold office on the Executive Board of the Association. Honorary – individuals who have provided outstanding services to the MVCPA or individuals who retire while still active in the association. The Executive Board can also make an individual an honorary member at their discretion. Honorary members have voting rights and are eligible to hold office on the Executive Board of the Association. Honorary members are exempt from annual dues.
If you are interested in becoming a member of the Miami Valley Crime Prevention Association, you must submit a request in writing to the Secretary/Treasurer of the Association. A majority affirmative vote of a quorum of members present at the next regularly scheduled business meeting (after receipt of the application by the Secretary/Treasurer) of the Association will be necessary for acceptance/approval of all membership.
